Full Refund Deadline: 10 days from tee-off

Format: Low Gross/Low Net

ELIGIBILITY:

This tournament is open to RPGC Members who are (a) members in good standing, (b) who have an established low index, and (c) who have competed in at least six RPGC-sanctioned tournaments since last year's Club Championship when registration opens. Participation in the same event the year prior does not count as an eligible round.

REGISTRATION:
Members are required to pay a one-time registration fee for the tournament. This fee will cover the first two stipulated rounds of golf and the prize fund. If a player qualifies for round three, the club will pay their entry fee for that round.

FORMAT: Stroke-play (gross and net for each flight) over three (3) consecutive days (Friday, August 1, Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3). About 20 players from each flight will make the cut and will play on the final day. Cuts will be made by determining a ranking as follows: 1st gross, 1st net, 2nd gross, 2nd net, etc. All decisions made by the Tournament Committee shall be final.

PAIRINGS: Members will not have a selection for tee times as is typical for other RPGC tournaments. Members will be paired with other members of their flight. The flight order for each day is as follows:

ROUND 1 (FRIDAY, AUGUST 1)

Vice President's Flight, Championship Flight, President's Flight, Secretary's Flight

ROUND 2 (SATURDAY, AUGUST 2)

President's Flight, Secretary's Flight, Championship Flight, Vice President's Flight.

ROUND 3 (SUNDAY, AUGUST 3)

Secretary's Flight, Vice President's Flight, President's Flight, Championship Flight

TIEBREAKER:
Except for the Championship Flight, ties will be broken by carding off the Round Three scorecard per our Club PoliciesBack nine, back six, back three, 18, 17, 16, etc. For the Championship Flight, players will play sudden death (to be determined by the Tournament Committee).

HANDICAPS:
Because this is a Major Tournament, all competitors will use their Low Index or Club Index - whichever is lower. This index will be frozen from moving up during the tournament, but the Handicap Committee can adjust down if deemed necessary.

  • When you get to the course, check to confirm your hcp, flight, and tee box.

  • If not on the tee box by your tee time, you will receive a 2-stroke penalty. After five minutes, you will be DQ'd and will not receive a refund for green fees, prize pool, or skins. No exceptions.

  • If there is a "yes" next to your name on the tee sheet, it means you are in the skins game.

  • Before teeing off, assign a person from your foursome to keep the electronic score and assign a person to keep the paper card score. Do not use the Golf Genius app unless you're the scorekeeper. Everyone else can follow live results on the website.

  • It's always best if the electronic scorer logs in and reads the names, in order, to the paper scorer. That way when you check the scores after the round you can just read out 4-4-5-4, 5-5-4-4, etc until you're done. This method is faster and much more accurate than if the names are not in the same order.

  • All four players' scores must be on one paper scorecard. Last names only, please. No circles or dots or games. Write clearly.

  • Please total the front nine, back nine, and overall on the paper card.

  • If your group's scores aren't posted electronically in a timely manner, the entire group will be DQ'd.

  • When the round is complete, check the paper card to make sure it matches the electronic card. Take a photo and email it to ranchocards@gmail.com. Make sure the card is right-side up, not upside down or sideways.

  • DO NOT post your scores, the club will post your scores for you. Post when you make your own tee times.

  • Don't plant the CTP flags where they may block a hole-in-one.

  • Let's aim for a four-hour round. Keeping up with the group in front of you is the number one rule.
